Terms of service, written to be read, not skimmed past.

These terms apply to every project Sandstone&co takes on. Your proposal and fee letter add the details for your project; if they differ from these terms, the proposal wins.

Our services

We provide interior design services as described in your proposal: surveys, concepts, drawings, sourcing and site visits. We are not a building contractor. Builders, joiners and suppliers work under their own contracts with you, which we help you arrange and oversee.

Fees and payment

• Our fee is fixed and agreed in writing after the first site visit.
• We invoice in three stages: a third at the start, a third when drawings are signed off and the rest at handover.
• Furniture, materials and products are billed at cost, with every supplier invoice shared with you.
• Invoices are due within 14 days. All prices are in euros and include Finnish VAT unless stated otherwise.

Changes to the brief

If the brief changes after drawings are signed off, we will tell you the extra cost before doing the work. Nothing is added to your fee without your written approval.

Orders and deliveries

Furniture and materials ordered on your behalf belong to you once paid for. Delivery dates are set by suppliers; we chase them, but cannot guarantee them.

Drawings and photographs

Our drawings are for your project only. We may photograph the finished interior and publish it, without your name or address, unless you ask us not to.

Cancelling

Either side can end a project with 30 days’ written notice. You pay for the work done and the orders placed up to that date.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the fee paid for the project. We are not responsible for the work of contractors or suppliers you hire directly.

Law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any dispute goes to the District Court of Helsinki, after we have tried to settle it together.
