The brief
A writer from Helsinki bought an old stone house above Deià and wanted one room to work in, cool in summer and warm in winter.
What we did
- Old cement render removed and walls finished in hand-applied clay plaster
- Desk and shelving made from one reclaimed timber beam
- Deep window seat built into the arched opening
- Floor relaid with the original limestone slabs
Materials
Clay plaster, reclaimed pine, local limestone and unglazed ceramics.
